Letters to Glenn Beck 4 - McCain and the bailout (10-02-2008)
Glenn,
please be honest with me, how can you sit there and proclaim that you will vote for McCain after his voting for the bailout bill?
This is supposedly a man of integrity. Of substance. Of principles. Of grit. Of determination. Of straight talk. Of change.
He is Mr "I will VETO any bill with earmarks that comes across my desk. You will know their names. I will make them famous!". And yet he just voted for a bill that will increase the size of the federal government...oh and by the way, is loaded with pork. Billions upon billions of dollars of it!
This shows McCain to be what he truly is: fake. Fake just like Obama is. Fake just like Biden is. Fake like most Washington-ites are. And I don't want to hear that "I know it had earmarks but it had to be passed" cop-out crap that most people are spewing.
Lastly Glenn, how can you vote for a man who 2 years ago voted to make it MORE difficult for Americans to declare bankruptcy (talking about adhering to special interests!), yet runs to Washington to help craft a bill to give a humongous financial pass to big business?? If that doesn't show a fundamental disconnect with the average citizen, then I don't know what to tell you.
I'm not saying vote for Obama. I'm against him as well. But do what that conservative inside of you is yearning to do: vote for Bob Barr. Support Bob Barr! I'm a freaking socialist and I'm gonna vote for the guy! I want a better distribution of wealth in this country and universal health care and college assistance and yet I'm Gonna Vote For Bob Barr! I'm a single dad making less than $30k a year who wants some God Damn daycare assistance from this stupid state and I'm GONNA VOTE FOR BARR!! I know Barr won't give me any of what I want. I guess that makes me insane. But I just don't feel it's worth destroying my daughter's future to get what I want. And the wrong guy is the wrong guy no matter what party he is from.
Obama is the wrong guy because of who is pulling his strings.
McCain is the wrong guy because you can't trust what he says.
