Some random thoughts for you to peruse...
Ever notice how states ax teachers, police officers and fire fighters when there are budget issues...but they never get rid of f-ing POLITICIANS?!?
Perhaps the reason that right-wing bloggers and talking heads demean the Main Stream Media so much is because they were never good enough to become part of it.
The true problem with evolution is that people cannot grasp the concept of 500,000,000 years. The immensity of it causes their brain to literally short-circuit and no actual thinking happens. In the end - we live in a now Now NOW!!! world and if something only happens at a rate 0.001% a year, not only will it not be seen, but, more importantly, it won't be acknowledged.
